A dog that bit the dead body of a newborn baby ran around the hospital premises!

A dog has bitten the dead body of a newborn baby girl and wandered in the premises of Megan hospital, causing concern among the parents and patients.

A dog bit a newborn baby in the premises of Meggan Hospital in Shimoga and ran around in the premises of the maternity ward. The citizens noticed this and reported the matter to the security personnel. Immediately the security guards chased away the dog. The dog ran away leaving the baby there.

The security personnel then took the infant to the doctor. After examination, the doctor confirmed that the baby was dead.

It is suspected that someone left the newborn behind the children's ward of Meggan Hospital. The hospital staff has requested to increase the detection of the parents who left the child.

Meggan Hospital security personnel have complained that they should be found and legal action taken against them. A case has been registered at Doddpet police station.
